  • Dante Show: A Harmony of Poetry and Music

Join us for an enchanting evening where the timeless verses of Dante Alighieri come to life through the power of music, creating an unforgettable fusion of art and emotion. Originally conceived by Marco Zuccari several years ago, "Dante Show," formerly known as "Dante, Parole.......Note," is an inclusive event organized by Il Punto, set in the captivating ambiance of St. Clément's Church in Seattle.

The event will be conducted in Italian, ensuring an authentic experience, with English translations provided in a complimentary booklet.

The event is free and open to all.

    Program:

    • Paolo e Francesca: Accompanied by Giacomo Puccini's "Madama Butterfly."
    • Ulisse: Enhanced by Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida: Marcia Trionfale."
    • Conte Ugolino: Enveloped in the emotive strains of Giuseppe Verdi's "Messa da Requiem."
    • Sordello: Complemented by Franco Battiato's "Povera Patria."
    • Prayer of St. Bernard to the Virgin Mary: Elevated by the iconic "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen.

Each musical piece will be prefaced by insightful notes on the historical context and a poetic paraphrase of Dante's verses, enhancing the understanding and appreciation of the poetic lines.
