Thanks to everyone who gathered for a day of fun, friendly conversation, and spectacular beauty at Golden Gardens Beach!

It was a wonderful reunion of old friends and we were happy to see many new faces. We were happy also to welcome some new members.

We have other volunteer opportunities during the remainder of August and in September.  If you would like to share in the fun of helping us prep for our in-person Fall programs and a new Music Program on the horizon please visit our volunteer page and fill out the form at the bottom to let us know what your interests are. Some of our volunteer tasks are listed there as well.  Thank you!,  Board of Directors

Biblioteca Italiana Seattle (BIS)

BIS is a program of the Italian Cultural Center - Il Punto. We recently relocated BIS to the Casa Italiana building in Burien. We hope the new location will give more people in the greater Seattle area access to this one-of-a-kind collection of literature, children's books, film, and music in the Italian language.

Volunteers are currently unboxing and re-shelving books and BIS will be re-opening in the near future. Books, music and film donations are still being accepted. Please visit the BIS page for more information.

Monetary Donations made by check for BIS and other Il Punto programs can be mailed to: Italian Cultural Center - Il Punto, PO Box 30674, Seattle, WA 98113. For donations by credit card please visit our Donate page.

Interested in becoming a Board or Committee Member!

The Il Punto board is accepting applications from community members who are passionate about Italian language and culture and who are excited to participate in event planning, language and culture programming, and navigating our strategic planning amidst ongoing Covid restrictions. Native Italian speakers and those with proficiency in the Italian language are highly encouraged to apply as well as those with a strong background in non-profit development, fundraising, finance, event planning, library science, social media marketing and computer technology.

Applicants must have an active Il Punto membership of 3 or more months in good standing. If you are interested in participating on the board or a committee, please send an email to board@ilpuntoseattle.org to request an application.

Board members beginning in January 2022 are elected to a three-year term. The commitment is about 2-5 hours per month. Board meetings are held once per month while committee members generally meet quarterly.  Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
