Introducing a new series on Zoom - 

February 8th: the Sanremo Festival & Its Impact on Italian Culture

Il Punto is delighted to introduce a new series of online events on Zoom, Iconic Italian Songs of the Sanremo Festival, hosted by Marcello DiPaolantoni.

As a true connoisseur and passionate advocate of Italian music and songwriting, Marcello has curated a fascinating journey through the most memorable songs of the Sanremo Music Festival, Italy’s most prestigious and influential music event.

The first session on February 8 is free and open to all! Please RSVP to be added to the attendee list and get the Zoom link to attend. 

Starting March 8, sessions will be $15 for Il Punto Members and $20 for Non-Members.

What to expect

Each session will explore a different decade of Sanremo, providing historical context, lyrical deep dives, and, of course, a chance to listen to the songs that have defined generations. Sessions will be primarily in English, with original Italian lyrics that will be commented.

• Deep dive into the song lyrics & listening session
• Open discussion and Q&A
• Duration: about 1 hour
